Join us for a special lecture at the Living Prairie Museum.
Luke Wonneck, Agroforestry Technician with the Agroforestry and Woodlot Extension Society (AWES), will be providing a guest lecture on encouraging beneficial insects into agricultural landscapes.
The presentation will focus on the environmental and economic importance of pollinating and pest suppressing insects within agricultural landscapes in Canada. Luke will provide practical steps that farmers and other land managers can take to provide habitat for pollinating and pest suppressing insects, drawing on examples from AWES' experience in Alberta.
AWES partnered with the Friends of the Living Prairie Museum to support the Living Prairie Museum's Prairie Pollinators and Beneficial Insects project, which includes the development of a new exhibit at LPM.
Please call the museum at 204-832-0167 to register. Admission by donation.
